Kernel files that refer to particular human-made objects, such as spacecraft clocks and cameras are normally considered “mission specific”. Of course, specific missions may also use their own versions of “Generic Kernels” (SPK, DSK, etc).
These kernels are typically located outside the Generic Kernels location in a mission specific directory.
