Fork vs Clone

Decision: Fork, or clone?

Fork

If you plan to build something with MaxQ, you may wish to create a fork of the repository.

Fork

If you create a Fork you’ll have much more control over your copy of the Toolkit’s source code and how/when it is updated & merged etc. You may need to make significant changes to the Toolkit to serve your own needs, too.

Clone

If you’re just experimenting etc and don’t care about breaking changes, then a clone is fine. You can create a clone, or even just pull down a zip file by clicking the Code button.

Code

If cloning a git repository is new to you, you may wish to consult the GitHub documentation.
